  • Comfortable in water with instructor or parent
  • Safe water entry & exit
  • Blows bubbles & puts face in water
  • Assisted front & back float (5 sec)
  • Kicks with support
  • Monkey crawl along the wall to shallow end

STARFISH SKILLS

  • Enters & exits pool independently
  • Swims with big arms to the wall
  • Blows bubbles & retrieves objects underwater
  • Floats on back (5 sec)
  • Kicks on front & back with support

JELLY FISH SKILLS

  • Kicks on front & back (10 ft)
  • Glides off the wall (5 ft)
  • Begins freestyle & elementary backstroke arms
  • Rolls to back for breath while swimming
  • Treads water (10 sec)

CLOWN FISH SKILLS

  • Freestyle with side breathing (15 ft)
  • Backstroke with steady kick (15 ft)
  • Jumps into deep water & returns to wall
  • Retrieves object from chest-deep water
  • Treads water (30 sec)

OCTOPUS SKILLS

  • Freestyle & backstroke (25 yards)
